What is Cosmos?
Cosmos (ATOM) is a cryptocurrency that powers an ecosystem of blockchains designed for scalability and interoperability. It was founded in 2014 by Jae Kwon and Ethan Buchman with support from the Interchain Foundation (ICF).
ATOM tokens are earned through a hybrid proof-of-stake algorithm and help maintain the security of the Cosmos Hub, the project’s flagship blockchain. This cryptocurrency also plays a role in network governance.
